Production Manager with responsibility for all production issues across a wide variety of markets sectors, within a high paced commercial mapping environment. Deputising for Operations Director when required.
I have gained strong project leadership and personnel management skills. Developed in a commercial environment, creating and managing entire project budgets, schedules, resource planning, risk assessment, strategic planning and reporting. Along with monthly financial turnover targets, forecasting and budget allocation. Internal team building, individual personal development plans, reviews and assessments.Working closely with the sales director to explore new markets for company growth and new development areas.
As a key client account manager I have managed a wide range clients from UK, American and African markets. Alongside this developing and managing overseas external production units in Africa and India alongside UK based cartographic, database and editorial resources.
Whilst retaining a 'hands on' technical and editorial production role, I used a wide range of technical and managerial skills to deliver digital mapping solutions to a wide variety of market sectors. These included Local Authorities, Government Agencies, International Publishing Industry and the European Union. All markets required extensive usage of data from multiple sources, all involving data collection, build, structuring and customisation to deliver high quality results in paper or digital formats.

Some examples of recent key clients management and projects:
Automobile Association - Management of budget in excess of £1million with over 50 internal and external resources. Creation and maintenance programme for delivery of street level databases of the UK. Bespoke data conversion software for multi-platform data transfer and delivery of graphical mapping data with associated indexes, launched simultaneously.
National Geographic - Building and seaming of multi-scaled datasets to create seamless 5m, 10m & 20 million databases. Automated project generation including collegiate atlas for US market.
British Waterways - The project entailed the delivery of a fully interactive canal mapping for the waterway network, for use on their award winning website.The project involved collection and GIS database builds to enable ArcIMS and SQL to deliver a fully interactive service for the end user.

Senior Project manager within a GIS/database environment. Involved with all aspects of project management from concept to delivery - sales support, client liaison, quotations, job induction, budgets, schedules, internal/external resources, customer care and quality control.
Section leader of a dedicated team, responsible for database creation, maintenance, conversion, quality assurance and management. Supervision, monitoring and development of the database team.

Interests :
Photography has always been an interest to me, but in the last few years I have become very passionate about my hobby. I have created a photography website where I display my work on a daily basis, I have held local exhibitions and won competitions.
